What to eat with burritos? Not much! This is because they are so filling, and most of the sides to go with burritos would be stuffed inside the burrito itself anyway! Having said that, in this article we will highlight a few side dishes that would make lovely accompaniments.
Mexican Baked Beans is a great burrito side dish. In this recipe we’ve combined and gently cooked garlic, onion, bacon and our Chipotle Paste giving this classic dish a lovely subtle spice and oodles of flavour. For a veggie/vegan version you can simply leave out the bacon. This would be a good option if you haven’t added beans into your burrito or are craving something warm and comforting.
2. Easy Nachos
Our Easy Nachos are a no-brainer side dish to have with most Mexican food! Perfect to tuck into alongside your burrito. Always nice to have something to nibble at on the side! This recipe smothers our Lightly Salted Tortilla Chips in our Guacamole, Chipotle Salsa, sour cream and cheddar cheese. Super easy to make, and the results have you wanting to make this again and again.
3. Mexican Rice

It’s a great accompaniment to add to a lot of Mexican main dishes, has wonderful flavour and just adds some more pizzazz to your Mexican feast! This is a delicious recipe! A truly authentic Mexican street food dish, that would also go well as an option to eat with burritos. The secret to this Mexican corn recipe is a dollop of our Chipotle Chilli Mayo. It brings it to a whole new level and adds that irresistible dimension of smoky flavour. Our Punchy Panzanella Salad is a perfect side to eat with burritos in the Spring or Summer. In addition, it’s a beautiful salad to look at, very colourful, and full of healthy goodness. Combine little juicy cherry tomatoes, red peppers, red onions, vibrant green basil leaves and cucumber with toasted golden french bread cubes. Add to that a Chipotle dressing! This results in a fun texture with tons of flavour.
