Where did the recipe for this Chipotle Paste come from?
Our founder Fergus, travelled to Mexico in 2012. Whilst he was there he went to the southern town of Oaxaca where smoked chipotle chillies are used in lots of local recipes. Fergus fell in love with this unique flavour and set about creating Gran Luchito's Chipotle paste. The recipe development took him six months as he worked with local Oaxacan Chefs, Mexican American Chef Susana Trilling and New York food blogger Alex. Hopefully you'll agree that the hard work paid off!
