What is fusion food?
Fusion food brings together elements, for example cooking techniques or ingredients, of 2 distinct types of cuisine.
What makes a recipe Mexican fusion?
When we developed these Mexican fusion recipes we looked at recipes that would be complemented by authentic Mexican spices and in particular our signature smoky Chipotle flavour.
Why are Mexican flavours so suited to fusion with other cuisines?
We think one of the main reasons that Mexican flavours work so well in different dishes from around the globe is that Mexican cuisine at its heart is a fusion of the many different cultures that have influenced its rich history. For example the Lebanese bringing the shawarma cooking technique with Tacos Al Pastor and the Spanish had a major influence introducing livestock into Mexico.
