This is a quick avocado cream recipe that we reckon will become a favourite in your home, especially during the warmer months.

Our yummy Avocado Crema (avocado cream sauce) is made with ripe avocados and spiced using our Gran Luchito Habanero and Lime Fajita and Taco Mix. Use greek yoghurt when you feel like something lighter, or creme fraiche and sour cream for a more creamy and scrumptious texture.

Whizz everything up in a food processor with a bit of lime, extra virgin olive oil, and seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper. Then your avocado crema recipe is good to go!

Avocado cream goes especially well with fish and seafood, but we love it dolloped and drizzled over tacos and fajitas too!

How to make it

  1. Add the ripe avocado flesh into the food processor.
  2. Follow this by adding greek yoghurt or creme fraiche, and then the extra virgin olive oil.
  3. Add the Habanero and Lime Fajita and Taco Mix, lime juice, a bit of coriander, and a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  4. Whiz it all up until it’s creamy and smooth.

How to cut an avocado?

Cut the avocado in half. Using a sharp chef's knife, slice through the avocado lengthwise until you feel the knife hit the pit. Remove the pit. If dicing, score the flesh of the avocado without piercing the skin, then scoop out. If slicing, scoop out as a whole and then slice.

Can I use other Gran Luchito products for this recipe instead of the Habanero & Lime Mix?

Yes! We specifically chose to add our Habanero & Lime mix because it has lime in it, which compliments the avocado the best. However, any of our fajita and taco mix products would work. Our Chipotle Paste would also work a treat!
