Whats the difference between Cactus and Nopales?

Nopales are the most common edible variety of cactus. Found all over Mexico Nopales have oblong green stalks or branches (pencas) that are flat with prickly thorns. We use Noplaes to make Gran Luchtio Cactus but don't worry all the sharp thorns have been removed. Read our guide to cactus for more interesting facts.

What type of cactus is used?

We use tender and juicy Mexican green cactus, known as Nopales, in our sliced cactus. Ideal as a topping, our cactus is marinated in authentic Mexican spices.

How do eat cactus.

We recommend rinsing Gran Luchito's sliced cactus before eating. It’s a tender and juicy mild topping that can be tossed into salads and tostadas, topped on quesadillas, tacos and even scrambled eggs.
