Chipotle Honey Recipes

Chipotle with Honey is a fantastic flavour combination. The sweetness from the honey combines really well with the smoky subtle heat of the Chipotle chilli. Gran Luchito Smoked Chilli Honey takes this one step further by using the superior Pasilla Oaxaca Chilli.
The Pasilla Oaxaca is a smokier cousin of the chipotle, this gives our chipotle honey a great intense flavour.

One of the questions we always get asked “how do you use this Chipotle honey?” – In case you haven’t seen it we have a recipe section with over 150 orginal recipes for all of the Gran Luchito products. But to save you looking here our top tips for how to use a Chipotle Honey.

Chicken Wing Marinade

Chipotle Honey Chicken Wings

Chipotle honey makes a fantastic marinade for chicken wings. Loosen the honey up with some olive oil, soy and fish sauce, pour over the wings and marinate them over night.
Our Smoked Chilli Honey marinated BBQ Chicken Wings recipe is well worth a try.

Chipotle Honey Devils on Horseback

If there were ever two ingredients that were made to go together it has to be chipotle honey and pork. Whether it’s a to glaze a ham, drizzled over bacon or poured over ribs these two are definitely the best of friends.

Our favourite pork and luchito honey combo is actually sausages. Pour the honey over the sausages before they go in the oven and they come out all gooey, sticky, chilli and nice. Yum!

Chipotle Honey Brie

Whether its a soft brie or a hard manchego, chipotle honey and cheese is a killer combo. Our favourite is a baked camembert which is so simple to make. All you need to do is cut the top of the cheese off, load it up with garlic, rosemary and a healthy dollop of chipotle honey and put the lid back on. Bake for about 20 minutes, serve with crusty bread and you’ll never be so happy.
