Gran Luchito was started in 2012 when the only Mexican food you could find came from a kit in the supermarket.
From the start, Gran Luchito has stood for challenging the status quo with a fighting spirit to bring you real, authentic Mexican.

The inspiration for Gran Luchito came from our founder and El Capitan – Fergus. He travelled around vibrant and colourful Mexico on a trip of a lifetime and was blown away by the authentic flavours and ingredients of the food he enjoyed. Fergus decided to create a brand that would celebrate the authentic taste, traditions and joy of bringing people together around the table for Mexican food.
At first, he only sold Gran Luchito at the weekend from a stall in East London’s Maltby Street Market. Buoyed by the enthusiasm of early buyers, Fergus decided to make it his full-time vocation and passion.
Right from the start, Fergus was determined to make Mexican with the same love and care he had discovered.
Exploring all of Mexico, searching for the highest quality ingredients from local Mexican suppliers, using authentic recipes that people have enjoyed for generations and preserving traditional cooking techniques are integral to what makes Gran Luchito unique.
We are also hugely passionate about helping you discover how delicious (and easy) scratch-cooking authentic Mexican dishes at home with our products can be!
We have created over 250 Mexican recipes from Chicken Tacos which can be made in a matter of minutes to complex dishes such as Chicken Mole which are symbolic and celebrated in Mexican cuisine. We are always updating and adding to our collection!
There is no shortage of adventures working for Gran Luchito, and we are very fortunate that travelling to Mexico is part of the job description!
