Not too long ago it was nearly impossible to find decent Mexican food in London, but as Mexican food continues to grow in popularity in the UK a number of new Mexican restaurants have popped up and more authentic dishes are being offered on menus. Here at Luchito when we get together one of our favourite things to do is share some Mexican food. Having eaten our way around town, in this blog we share our list of the best Mexican restaurants in London:
1. Corazon
First on our list of the best Mexican restaurants in London is Corazon in Soho. When we have a craving for the Tuna Tostadas you find in Mexico City, Corazon is where we head and order their Contramar Tostadas with crispy leeks and yellowfin tuna. The food is excellent especially their taco selection and we’ve tried them all!
2. Lupita
Lupita celebrates the food of Mexico City which we love! It has quite a large menu but we go for the tacos and we recommend trying the Tinga, Pibil and Bajaall of which are favourites of ours.

4. Breddo’s Tacos
Breddo’s is inspired by the authentic taquerias you find roadside in Mexico and has a well edited, taco focussed menu. We think the Totopos with Queso is a must as are the Elotes and the Puebla style lamb shoulder tacos.
26 Kingly St, Soho, London W1B 5QD
82 Goswell Rd, London EC1V 7DB
5. Café Pacifico
6. Yucca
496 Fulham Rd, Fulham, London SW6 5NH
7. La Bodega Negra Cafe
Last on our list for best Mexican restaurants in London is La Bodega Negra Cafe. Offering casual dining, a cocktail bar and traditional Mexican live music in a secret subterranean location in Soho. La Bodega Negra Café serves a great assortment of tacos – our fave is the pork belly.
